The Torta di Nocciola Piemonte is the Queen of cakes and specialties from this beautiful region, despite its humble and peasant origins. It has always been one of the few festive desserts since ancient times, considered the peasant sweet that could not be missing from the Christmas tables of Langhe and Monferrato. Its recipe indeed stems from the practical thinking and skilled hands of the grandmothers of the past who found this delicious solution to use the hazelnuts left over from the summer harvest. The goodness of our recipe is due to the roasting and grinding of the Tonda Gentile hazelnuts from Langhe and to a careful and meticulous combination of all the ingredients. To provide greater crunchiness and to further enhance the nobility of its essential oils, a generous sprinkle of crushed hazelnuts is added to the surface.
